The Road to Paris 2024 With the opening ceremony last Friday, the 2024 Olympics have officially kicked off. We are very excited to follow multiple athletes who have stayed at Rocacorba Cycling this year. From professional mountain bikers to triathletes and road cyclists, it has been a pleasure to witness part of their journey up close. We would like to give a special shoutout to the Canadian triathlon team, who have spent their last weeks preparing at Rocacorba Cycling for the individual event taking place on the 30th and 31st of July. Good luck, Emy, Tyler, and Charles! We also want to mention our very own Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, who is gearing up for her fourth Olympic Games in the road race. A nasty crash during the Volta Catalunya in June resulted in a fractured T10 vertebra, presenting a challenging obstacle en route to Paris. After weeks of patience, adaptation, and belief, she is now back in the saddle, pain-free, and on track to compete in the road race on the 4th of August. Whatever happens, we are extremely proud of her unwavering determination and grateful for the inspiration she has provided to everyone around her. She will be joined by her South African teammate and first-time Olympian Tiffany Keep, who is fulfilling a childhood dream at the young age of 23. We wish them all the best and will be cheering from near and far! |
