Auster - More than a club!
We wanted to give a special shoutout to our recent guests from Auster, a newly launched cycling community based out of South London. Having filled the entire property with 26 enthusiastic members, they brought an infectious energy to Rocacorba Cycling. With lots of miles ridden, mountains climbed, and carbs consumed, they truly embraced the community spirit, celebrating each other's accomplishments as well as their mutual love of being outdoors and exploring. As Mike Hickman shared upon return from Spain,
"We’ve just got back from our week in Girona, where we stayed with Rocacorba Cycling. What a place, absolutely perfect for a bunch of cyclists, the riding in the area is glorious! Everything from beautifully decorated, lovely rooms to the extra incredible facilities including bike storage, wash bay, mechanic and all the tools, bike cave (complete with Rocket Espresso coffee machine and TV for the Giro), gorgeous pool, sauna, onsite chef and meals for us hungry riders. The staff were also incredibly helpful, nothing was too much bother and we got smiles for miles. A huge thumbs up from me and all the other 25 on the trip. Can't wait to book in 2025."
We would like to thank this amazing group of people for being such wonderful guests and look forward to welcoming them back again next year. If you are looking for a club to join or people to ride with, check out their upcoming meet-ups to join for an intro ride, and follow them on Instagram! Auster promotes themselves as an inclusive cycling club made by and for the community, "We foster a team mentality with collective responsibility to ensure everyone feels like a valuable asset to the group, for shared enjoyment and safe riding." No matter your background or level of cycling, Auster will be sure to welcome you with open arms!
